Then there were times that she surrounded herself with the wrong people. Like the kind of people that take all of one’s positive energy and turn it into sadness. Along with that, others hurt her feelings constantly. Over time, she started believing that maybe she was better off hiding away from everyone. The world seemed to be darker than the sky itself. Had everyone really become so selfish? So heartless? Well then, it was more than tempting to just become the same way-the way in which she now perceived the world. It was an unfair and shallow judgement for the entire world, yes. However, why make new friends when they would most likely be as hurtful and mean as the others? She grew angry with the world.

The door opened to a rather messy bedroom. Paints and art supplies were scattered about, among piles of unfinished projects. The lights in the house were all out, and the intense flickering outside lit up the rooms. A small silhouette stood before the opening, as the flashes revealed the creature to be a tired, angry little artist.
